In my latest article for Shadowproof I delve into the Department of Homeland Security’s Hollywood office, which works on everything from reality TV shows featuring working dogs to Peter Berg schlockbusters like Patriot’s Day.  In particular I look at what ICE and Customs and Border Protection get up to in the entertainment sphere, because the federal government’s treatment of migrants is appalling, and getting worse as the US becomes more parochial and nationalistic.  The DHS vets content and only approves projects that put a positive spin on US immigration policies, or makes those policies seem like a necessary response to all those swarthy drug dealing terrorists ‘swarming’ over the Southern border.
