When you think of radical or counter-establishment films the 1998 thriller The Negotiator probably doesn’t come to mind, especially if you know that it was produced by Arnon Milchan, a spy for Israeli intelligence who smuggled components for Israel’s nuclear program.  On this subscriber-only podcast I explore both the film and Milchan’s history as an asset of the Israeli government.  I examine how the film promotes a diplomatic and intelligence-based approach to conflict over a violence-based approach, and therefore isn’t a piece of Zionist propaganda.  I also address the poisonous nature of the dialogue around Israel, Zionism and anti-semitism, and take a look inside Milchan’s FBI file.
