In these times of strife, confusion, hostility and boredom it is important to keep ourselves amused. In this month’s subscriber-only podcast I talk about what I’ve been up to recently, including dealing with publishers over my book projects and the results of my latest FOIA battle with the US Army. I also do a rundown of some of the best film and TV I have watched so far this year including the reality show Too Hot to Handle, the coming of age drama Dare Me, the documentary series The Last Dance, and two adaptations of the story of the security guard wrongly accused of bombing the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta – Richard Jewell and season 2 of Manhunt. I also talk about my favourite film of the year so far – The Banker – which tells the story of some of the first African-American bankers, and briefly discuss the new Netflix series Space Force.
