Continuing our review series, on this month’s subscribercast we look at the sixth and penultimate season of The Shield. We pick up on some of the metaphors and parallels with true life events, as well as the introduction of the US and Mexican government’s relationships with drug cartels as an explicit storyline. I also indulge my fascination with screenwriting techniques, discussing The Shield season 6 as the best example of mirroring that I’ve seen, both through character reflections and storylines that mirror each other. We also take a look at what happens when the bonds of trust that exist inside any secretive organisation are irrevocably broken.

This is a preview of this month’s subscribercast, the full episode is about 1hr 40 minutes.  To gain access to the subscribercasts please take a look at my support page.
