Another edition of What’s News at CIA records how in early 1998 during the filming of Enemy of the State the film’s producer Chad Oman and its star Will Smith visited CIA headquarters.  The in house magazine notes that ‘Smith observed that “it was neat to see how this imagery really works, rather than how you often see it in the movies.”  Rather ludicrously, the team complimented the Agency saying their work was “making it safe to attend our movies.”

Naturally, what it not mentioned is that the film was being produced with the explicit help of the CIA’s Office of Public Affairs, and that their entertainment industry liaison Chase Brandon was a technical consultant on the film.
