In the second roundtable between Pearse, Jon Ryman and myself we talked about white female terrorists, both the fiction and the reality.  We looked briefly at a few films that feature white female terrorists and how these cartoons have turned into real life news stories, focusing on the tales of Samantha Lewthwaite and Jihad Jane.  The discussion also touched on the celebrity nature of the white female terrorist, and the conflicting reactions the media coverage of these stories has stirred up in people, as well as how this fits into the overall big picture of the evolving war on terror.  Sources and other information available here.
